The expertise and resources of the University of Bologna include human factors and organizational psychology, HRC, strategies to increase user trust/acceptance considering safety/comfort/productivity; human-related barriers’ identification and facilitators for smart systems uptake (ergonomics, user experience, liability), and issues identification (luck of mode awareness for highly automated systems, user low ability to track/anticipate system behaviour related to the systems’ interface poor design). Their contribution to the project will involve the human-centric approach adoption; solutions identification fostering workers’ acceptance; workers’ behavioural models’ development with attention to individual gender-age-related differences; robotic patterns development; development of appropriate HRC task allocation strategies and adaptive planning models; intuitive HRI development, and analysis of the HRC impact on workers and the organization assessment with attention to efficiency/effectiveness/safety
